About
Ala-Archa National Park lies at the foot of the Kyrgyz Alatau range, just 40 kilometres from Bishkek. Named after the Ala-Archa River that runs through it, the park covers 194 km². Glacial valleys, cascading waterfalls and pine and spruce forests are its main natural treasures.
The park offers short hiking trails as well as technical climbing routes for experienced mountaineers. The walk to Ak-Sai Waterfall is one of the most popular routes. Magnificent summits such as Peak Korona (4,860m) and Peak Semenov-Tyan-Shansky (4,875m) form the backdrop. Ala-Archa is an easily reachable paradise for both day-trippers and nature lovers alike.
