About
Altyn Arashan is a natural hot spring area in the deep valley of the Terskey Ala-Too range, about 30 kilometres south of Karakol. At around 3,000 metres above sea level, warm mineral waters flow into rocky pools, offering visitors a unique open-air bathing experience.
Traditional yurt camps and small guesthouses line the valley, where travellers can rest in a peaceful setting surrounded by mountains. The hot spring waters create an unforgettable contrast with the cool mountain air. Altyn Arashan is also a popular destination reachable on horseback, and its glacial scenery attracts trekking enthusiasts from around the world.
