About
Kok Jaiyk is a vast pasture on the high plateaus of the Terskey Ala-Too range, in the Jeti-Oguz area. Its Kyrgyz name means "Green Meadow", and in summer the area turns into a paradise covered in emerald grass. Streams fed by glacial waters water the pasture while snow-capped peaks form a breathtaking backdrop.
In summer, herder families move their herds up to the pasture and set up traditional yurts. Visitors can stay in these yurts, experience nomadic life, and taste fresh milk and dairy products. Kok Jaiyk is also one of the most popular routes for horse rides; exploring the pasture and surrounding valleys on horseback is an unforgettable experience.
